Annotation
The dynamics of contemporary poet T. Kibirov's poetry is outlined in the article ”Timur Kibirov: in the Dialogue with the Tradition". His early poetry is characterized by deconstruction of the Soviet myth, total use of quotations taken from other texts, parody; however, in the ironic-play texts a sincere nostalgic note can be detected. Contrary to the mask of a character, usually utilized in the postmodern poetry, Kibirov has turned to the form of the lyric hero traditional for the classical lyric poetry, who transforms throughout his entire poetry. A play of styles, excessive use of quotations, and parody in his poetry are still the external manifestations of postmodern aesthetics. Absolute sincerity, acknowledgement of eternal values, firm moral criteria, accuracy and clarity of poetic statements, gravity to the lyric fragment genre, to the traditional verse style testify about the poet’s dialogue expansion with the Russian classical tradition.
