Annotation

This article deals with the phenomenon of interlingual homonymy in substandard phraseology. The research was based on the analysis of the pairs of Russian and Polish substandard phraseological units with identical or similar structure but different meaning, which are related to each other in two ways: so called intralevel and interlevel homonymy. The research and description of substandard phraseological units of both languages is important from the point of view of both theoretical and applied linguistic. The comparative description of the subsystems (different levels) of Polish and Russian may become the part of general typological description of Slavonic languages, recreate objective picture of similarities and differences of vocabulary and phraseology of related languages, show their reflection in lexicographical mirror, give their theoretical interpretation. The results of this research are applied to teaching Polish and Russian in the universities of Russia and Poland, becouse they can be used during seminars and courses of Slavonic phraseology and substandard vocabulary.
