The article is written about the early poetry of the Russian and Polish poetesses.
Akhmatova‘s translation of the 9 poems by M. Pavlikovska-Yasnozhevska serves a direct ground for the comparison of the two Slavic poets. The author points out some typical proximity between the aesthetic principles of Russian acmeism and those of а Polish literary group ‘Skamandr’. There are some interesting facts about Anna Akhmatova’s and Maria Pavlikovska-Yasnozhevska’s life and creative activity mentioned in the article.
