CORRECTION OF VERNACULAR MISTAKES IN STUDENTS’ RUSSIAN SPEECH IN LITHUANIA

Annotation

The article deals with some typical linguistic features of the Russian vernacular language. Vernacular language as a social and linguistic phenomenon was the subject of research during the Soviet era. It is also being actively investigated nowadays. The line between literary vernacular and vernacular languages is not clear out. Elements of vernacular language are very frequent in everyday Russian. This article highlights the typical mistakes of vernacular everyday language. In some cases mistakes are caused by regional influence. To prevent the mistakes of vernacular language, the author of this article uses short stories by Michail Zoshchenko, who is talented in picking up vernacular language phrases. Stylistic analysis of stories The Event and The Aristocratic Woman helps to recognize the vernacular words, their forms and patterns, and the method of stylistics experiment is used to correct students' venacular language mistakes.
