Annotation

The article focuses on some linguistic features of contemporary Russian and Bul- garian advertisements. It looks into the pragmatic potential of newly-formed verbs which are used for specific purposes in these texts. Some unusual verbs seen as the predicative centre of an advertisement meant to form a lasting impression of it have been analyzed against the expressive and associative context of their functioning.
