Annotation
Peculiarity of the language existing outside the limits ofits ethnic territory is determined by
lingual contacts. This is also reflected in the Lithuanian Russian which is in the active interac-
tion with the Lithuanian language. This article studies one of many aspects related to the study
ofthe written language under the circumstances of alien lingual environment - peculiarities of
inclusion of Lithuanian innovations into the Russian text. Russian newspapers of Lithuania
covering the period from 1991 to 2006 are used as data for study.
The study shows, that some specific peculiarities of the process of nominations are re-
flected in the modern written Russian language. Inclusions of Lithuanian innovations occur in
a complicated way. Along side with the processes of assimilations the facts of inconsistency in
choosing ofthe Lithuanian word or the Russian analogue or intended emphasizing of the Lithua-
nian innovations in the text are obvious. Inclusion of innovations must be unified in a certain
way; This requires recommendations of linguists.
