Annotation

The object of the research is the area of Internet communications which has been least analyzed today: syntax of Internet texts, or to be more precise, texts that can be estimated as the genre of express news. Features inherent in such texts characterize the tendencies of the Russian language use and the algorithm of creating texts by a constellation of modern journalists referred to as new reporters that are guided by and focus primarily on online Media. Speaking about particular features of syntax of the texts focused on the express transfer of news, it is possible to consider them as individual displays of idiolect of the writing individuals (people) who, as a rule, are not well-educated. Moreover, they have time neither to produce quality texts from the linguistic point of view nor to process them. However, to some extent the analysis of individual texts gives us an idea of the general features of their stylistics and syntax, provided that the distinguished features appear tendentiously, i.e. appear in big quantities of texts. The author analyzes a sufficient number of Internet texts in the article allowing to confirm the following tendencies: 1) a mixture of styles in the field of construction of a compound sentence; 2) reduction of important semantic elements of the text, infringement of logic of its construction, 3) occurrence of the constructions emphasizing new information (‘it appeared/ turned out’), 4) enrichment of the text with meta-text elements. The revealed peculiarities of the genre are connected with the speed of creating this kind of texts: their authors strive to be the first to tell the news pursuing to overtake their competitors, and thus, to attract the readers and advertisers. At the same time, the format of the publication containing the genre of express news presupposes the mode of accelerated reading. In this regard, the texts acquire a number of the afore-said features. Finally, journalists writing in this genre demonstrate fear for their own word, which can reveal the absence of language skills, as well as ‘social fear’ for the responsibility for what has been said.
