Annotation
The article considers representations of protagonists of the novels «The Precipice» of I.A. Goncharov and «The Noble Nest» of I.S. Turgenev about their images of «a noble nest». With returning to the Homeland it becomes possible to Rajskij and Lavreckij to gradually find their place in the world. It’s a path that begins with a self-feeling in time and space. A collision with the Other is a very important motive in the development of the characters. As a result, the most essential parts of the image of «the noble nest» for Raijskij and Lavretsky both are the images of a family and home.
