Annotation
The article analyzes the key concepts of the image of “paradise lost” in the works of V. Mayakovsky, correlated with the Armenian codes. The author explores the biblical component of Mayakovsky’s poetic “crystal paradise lost” in the context of Russian literature of the twentieth century, referentially fixing the same existential memory codes that are embedded in the general mythopoetic picture. The “crystal” and “clay” connotations of the “paradise lost” image, which forms the basis of the Armenian tradition as a biblical one, can be traced on the material of the works of O. Mandelstam, A. Bitov, Sukhbat Aflatuni. The poet marks the chronotopic space of the world with biblical loci. Mayakovsky’s poetry is characterized by understanding Armenia not as an ontological, but as an existential space of “inner Armenia” – one’s own, but not someone else’s. The author places special emphasis on the analysis of the semantic components of the mythologeme “Mount Ararat”, conceptually related to the concepts of Noah’s Ark.
