Annotation
In the article the author, using concrete examples taken from L.N. Tolstoy’s diaries, notebooks and articles, demonstrates, what great consideration the writer gives folklore, and, in particular, folk proverbs. The proverbs often help the writer to express his attitude to different phenomena and events of external and internal life with maximum precision, capacity and figurativeness.
