Annotation

The article looks at some signs of crisis in contemporary comparative studies and possible solutions for that. The article analyses the text of "Tell Me Such a Dwelling-Place" by a famous Russian poet Nikolai Nekrasov as an example of renewed traditional comparative studies: the changes in the text, its shortening, songs based on the text and its folklorization. The article also looks at the history of text in Lithuania: its appearance here as a poem and as a popular song, changes in the meaning, folklorization. The author comes to the conclusion that the pre-text by N. Nekrasov was a creative impulse both for young poets and folk songs.
