Annotation
In the article “The Last Pastoral” by A. Adamovich is considered in the ‘warn- ing anthology’ context of the late XX century. The aim of the research is to reveal — through discerning the metatext meaning and its esthetic function — the originality of the story which appeared to be a token piece within the eschatological tendency of the Russian prose in the end of the last century.
