Annotation

The article is devoted to the linguistic status of rationalized inference constructs, which are reckoned among non-proper causal complex sentences in the traditional Russian syntax. Such constructs are a minimal structure for reasoning as a form of thought. In this structure, a combination of two functional-semantic types of speech is realized - narration in the main clause of a complex sentence with description in the subordinate clause, or narration both in the main and subordinate clauses. Reasoning, unlike narration and description, fairly attributed to functional-semantic types of speech, is an internally structured text that integrates different semantic types of speech.
