Annotation

This article studies theoretical aspects of the speech etiquette as an object of lingua-cultural and intercultural communication. Concepts such as speech etiquette, politeness and linguistic politeness have been defined in this work. A comparative analysis of forms of greeting and farewell in the Russian, Lithuanian and Turkish languages has been applied. In the research, common and specific means of expressing politeness in the forms of greeting and farewell have been determined. The results have shown peculiarities of fragments of the Russian, Lithuanian and Turkish linguistic worldview related to polite communication in greeting and farewell situations.
