Annotation
The article deals with numerous instances of using Russian proverbs
and sayings in the letters written by A. S. Pushkin in 1821–1827, and provides
a further analysis of the principles of their creative usage in the epistolary
heritage of the poet in relation to his belles-lettres works. It is concluded that
proverbs and sayings are used in a very natural way in the poet’s letters in
relation to different life events, closely resembling the way such sayings are
traditionally used by Russian people.
