THE CONCEPT OF “RUSSIA” IN THE DISCOURSE OF BORIS AKUNIN (BASED ON THE CYCLE OF E. FANDORIN)

This article analyzes the concept of “Russia” in the discourse of the famous Russian novelist Boris Akunin. The motivation for the study was the idea that the individual components of the author‘s concepts can affect the analyzed culture‘s conceptosphere. Research has shown that the concept of “Russia” in the discourse of Boris Akunin consists of the following elements: 1) residents of Russia, 2) characteristics of the country of Russia, 3) characteristics of the Russian government, 4) business in Russia, 5) the Russian army, and 6) prospects of the Russian state. Moreover, the emphasis is on the negative aspects of their substantive content.
