Annotation
The paper demonstrates the connection between literacy and other manifestations of students’ abilities, which makes it possible to separate different
forms of expression of linguistic abilities into groups depending on literacy
(reading speed and text comprehension are more closely related to literacy
than the ability to make morphological syllabication). The results obtained
can help to work out practical recommendations regarding the improvement
of students’ literacy.
