Annotation
The article analyses the tragic of the story Live and Remember by V. Rasputin. The article starts with the description of the reception of the creative works of V. Rasputin in China. Moving to the closer analysis of Live and Remember, the author concentrates attention on the internal condition of the two main heroes – Andrei Gus’kov and Nastena, and analyses the tragic situation in which they appear in the novel. The author concludes that V. Rasputin discovered new aspects of the tragic situation typical for the 20th century: he described a new type of person that is unusual for the Soviet literature, and implemented the so-called existential approach. In extreme conditions, the difference of main characters is vividly expressed, but only one of them, Nastena, presents herself as a true tragic heroin.
