IMAGES OF «A NEST OF NOBLE FAMILY» IN SIGN SYSTEM OF I.S. TURGENEV’S NOVEL «FATHERS AND CHILDREN»

The symbolical image of «nest» passes through I.S. Turgenev’s all creati­vity. System sign features of this image in the novel «Fathers and Children» are consi­dered in the article. It is shown, how the allegorically unequivocal concept «fa­mily» is symbolically developed in the idea of «nest». Three «nests of noble families» in which there live Kirsanov brothers, Anna Odintsov-Lokteva and Ekaterina Lokteva sisters, and Bazarov spouses become a scene of action in the creation. In these three images of «a nest of noble family» the writer had reflected values of spiritual environment and epoch. Simultaneously I.S. Turgenev revealed a difference in outlook of the heroes-contemporaries belonging on a birth to the same estate. Via recreating of constant and changing lines of interrelations of the «fathers» and the «children» the writer had integrated epic dominants of life.
